How to Eat Well

Updated: Feb 6, 2019

Look at your food, appreciate your food, thank it for the nutrients it is giving you.

Slow down!

Stop eating your food so fast!

The body has to make enzymes to digest the food you’re taking in.

The body does an amazing job. However, give it a break! If you are scarfing down your food, you’re robbing the body of the time to naturally process assimilate and digest the foods. Take it easy.

Look at your food. Appreciate your food. Thank it for the nutrients it is giving you, for your ability to digest, assimilate, and eliminate it. Put an intention of love, health, and vitality into your food. Say a prayer for your good forture.

Does that make me a yogi?

Give Thanks for the land, the earth, the dirt, the animal, the plant, the people, the sun, the rain, and air. Give thanks for it's growing, the harvesting of the food, the equipment it took, its shipment and transportation. Give thanks for the store, market, or resturant. Give thanks for the supplies, the money, the ability, the grace to have the precious moment of eating. Stop doing other things. Focus solely on eating. Salivate. Smell. Touch. Taste. Chew. Savor. Swallow. Love. Smile. Enjoy. Mmmm… Give thanks. #MEfood #presence #mefood #appreciate #seasoneverythingwithlove
